Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems appoints new Non-Executive Director

Matthew Reed joins Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems having wrapped-up over 13 years as an Executive at Business Growth Fund (BGF), the UK investment firm focused on Venture, Growth and Quoted investments across all sectors.  Having joined BGF on day 1 in 2011, his role as Director, COO and CFO equips him well to navigate the complexities of scaling a business (BGF was launched with £2.5bn of shareholder capital) and being based in the UK will reinforce our commitment to building our business internationally.

Matt Reed, Blue Ocean MTS’ new Non-Executive Director

Matt worked in Perth, Australia as a Chartered Accountant before moving to the UK in 1999. Since then, he has worked in numerous finance roles in Finance and Private Equity with the majority of his years in roles with JP Morgan.
Prior to joining BGF, Matt worked with a number of start-ups which he believes was the most relevant and challenging training he has received to date.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Western Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
